Two new sets of guidance have been added to the Effective Maths website:
The aim is to provide an overview of the progression, strategies and approaches used within the EM programme regarding calculation with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
Each set of guidance is available in several versions:
• whole school version;
• year group specific versions;
• a Key Stage 1 only version (for infant schools).
Each of the above is available in two versions:
• a notes version – containing half a page with representations supported by notes;
• a slides version – full A4 landscape representations.
The notes versions are intended for use by relevant adults that need to be familiar with the strategies and approaches within EM. The slides versions are intended for presentations such as staff training or parent/carer workshops.
Schools are very welcome share as deemed appropriate and to add the documents to their own websites.
