A series of quizzes have been produced to support revision for the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check.
In designing the quizzes, it was assumed fluency was secure with the 2, 4, 5 and 10 × tables. The quizzes therefore start with revision of the 8 × table.
The way the revision quizzes have been structured is as follows:
· revision of focus multiplication table (eg 3 × table)
· revision of above, plus previously learnt multiplication tables (eg 4, 8 and 3 × tables)
NB The quiz that revises more than one × table focuses on 6 × factor, 7 × factor, 8 × factor, 9 × factor, 12 × factor. There is an emphasis multiplying by 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12 because these have been determined to be the most difficult multiplication tables.
Each question has a 6 second time limit. It is suggested that children do not progress from one quiz to the next until they have obtained a score of 90% or more.
Good luck!
